This year marks the centenary of one of Catalonia's most important composers of music history, Xavier Montsalvatge.

 

Joventuts Musicals Sitges, in collaboration with the prestigious Marshall Academy, the Dels Angels Victoria Foundation and Fundació Monsalvatge, presented in Sitges Festival with a number of objectives. Pedagogy, disclosure and participation are the three pillars that underpin the proposed. A course of performance of Spanish music, a musical marathon, a conference, an exhibition and three concerts, programming complement the classical section.

 

On the other hand, Jazz section opens this year to world music. First, Andrea Joan Chamorro Mottis quartet and give a concert in fresh and elegant gardens of the Casino Prado endearing. Also at the same site, and a closing concert of the "36th Summer Concert Series Music Festival, Sitges", Darlly Maia, Brazilian singer acknowledged, perform a program based on music of his country, especially Bossa Nova.

 

We hope it is an attractive program and we invite you to enjoy another year of music in incomparable settings and prestigious musicians.
