
First, read Sitges Posidonia Festival, an event dedicated to art and nature that takes its name from the oceanic Posidonia, a marine plant that is essential to protect the life of Mediterranean ecosystems and coastlines from erosion. The festival, celebrating the fifth edition is organized by the nonprofit Association Posidonia MED, will be held in Sitges between 31 August and 2 September, after editing Carloforte (Sardinia, Italy), to be the 20 to the 22 July.
Made in collaboration with the Center for Marine Studies, the City, Promotion Agency Sitges Tourism, Barcelona Provincial Council, dels Consortium Hills Miralpeix, Slew Art OCEAN2012, the event includes many free activities such as concerts, screenings of documentaries on environmental issues, art installations, workshops for children and adults, conferences, roundtables and EcoFeria.
